  • Deliberate intimidation.
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events.

Section B: Networking and Match & Invest (M&I)

Networking at SAIS2021 takes place online and offline. The offline meetings are for attendees that are both present. The online meetings are facilitated via the virtual event application.

There are three ways to network at SAIS2021:

  • Speed networking functionality on the virtual event application
  • Match & Invest by searching for the attendees based on your criteria.
  • Suggested matches for investors, you will receive an email and instructions for meetings

For a step-by-step M&I guide on how to use each networking channel: click here

Once you are inside the Match & Invest functionality you will be able to navigate to an attendees profile, that you either search or have had suggested to you. When on the profile you will find the “send message” button and that will open a chat box to message them. Where you can do your magic.

For step-by-step M&I guide on how to send a message, please see our M&I guide here.

For matched meetings: Once you have navigated to the Match&Invest networking function and completed your one-time registration you will be presented with matches based on a percentage match. Then when you click on one of these profiles you will click on the “meet” icon with shaking hands. Here you will schedule a time and await feedback.

You can also search for other attendees by specific filters like “industry”, “organization type”, what they are “seeking for”. Then when you click on one of these profiles you will click on the “meet” icon with shaking hands. Here you will schedule a time and await feedback.

Once you have navigated to the Match & Invest networking function in PINE, you can filter all event attendees by:

  • I AM (organization type)
  • I CAN OFFER
  • I’M LOOKING FOR

We are committed to ethical and respectful engagements across the Summit. If you get in touch with someone and you are not comfortable with their behaviour or actions or have been mischievous, please report this to us immediately via our support line: info@innovationsummit.co.za

The discussion forum is our online network and innovation community where you can connect with other attendees by setting-up joining conversations with like-minded attendees. You can find networks in your industry or with the same interests as you. Go ahead and connect.

The event feed is a general information page where attendees can share images, ideas, and information. Attendees can like and comment on each post.

We have worked very hard with our partners to ensure that the platform is technically sound. However if life happens and you encounter an issue with the system or any technical aspect of your experience, please do not hesitate to contact us on the email address below.

or according to the venue.

Yes, you can add any sessions of interest to your personalized programme, they will all appear under the “programme” tab, you just must switch from ‘All’ to ‘Personal’.

Just flag any session of interest and it will then automatically add it to your personalized programme.

You will even be able to see all the meetings you have scheduled within this personalized programme.

On the web link and mobile app, you can access the livestream sessions by going to the programme or virtual stages tab and clicking on the session in question.

When you click on the session before the time specified it will not play until it’s time for the session. If you click on the session halfway through the session, then you will start viewing from where the session is at that specific point in time. And finally, if you click on the session after the date and time of the session then all sessions will be available on-demand, which means that if you miss anything you can go back and watch it!

In every session the Q&As are to the right of the session. You can upvote questions if you see something like what you are wondering about.

The speaker will or answer your question in the Q&A chat box next to the session while the session is ongoing or if the session is a masterclass the speaker will answer the questions with the most votes at the end of the session.

You can insert a link with UTM tags to your Call-To-Action button.

First and foremost, please make sure you have the permissions to participate in your company’s booth to be able to access the analytics. Such permissions can be given by the organizer.

You are welcome to access reports directly from the Company Portal and download them using download links in case you need to save the booth attendance log. The analytics of the booth is available in the insights of the virtual booth.

Once you have entered the Company Portal, you may run into a message “Permission denied” when trying to edit the company info or the virtual booth.

This message appears when you are not added as an admin of a company, and you do not have editing rights.

In order to require those rights, you can contact the organizer directly and request to add you as an admin of a company.

In case there are no company admins, you can enable editing rights in the Attendee App. To that please open the Event Settings tab -> click on editing “My company” section -> scroll down to the bottom and click on the button “Claim Editing”. Then you need to refresh the company portal page and edit the company info.

Please note that if there are already admins in the company, you will see the button “Request editing rights”. In this case, the admins of the company will receive your request in the Pinebot and approve it or decline it.
