09:00 – 10:45 Cleantech Policy Workshop: Increasing the uptake and success of cleantech innovations
This workshop forms part of the GCIP-SA’s deliverables, namely strengthening of the policy and regulatory framework for the development of a supportive innovation ecosystem in SA. In addition to looking at the policy and regulatory framework, it will also touch on factors aimed at enhancing the success of cleantech entrepreneurs and increase the uptake of their solutions.
14:00 – 17:00: Industry 4.0 workshop – Creating sustainable, inclusive competitive advantage
Up-to-date insights on the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Every industry – manufacturing, transport, agriculture, education – is being disrupted and transformed beyond recognition by Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0, through automation, integration systems, data collection and data analysis, can help to inform industry and government on how decisions can be made about competitiveness, about manufacturing, and about the re-skilling of people in low-skill jobs.
