Sunesh Bhoola is the co-founder and CEO of uLima Limited, a company incorporated with the vision to provide smallholder farmers with a toolset, database and access to the latest market information through mobile technology. The overall objective is to improve farming methodologies in order to achieve increased yields and empowering the smallest of the small holder farmers.
Sunesh trained in the small to medium sized business sector with PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. and thereafter worked in the metals sector with SCAW metals, a then subsidiary of Anglo American plc. Prior to co-founding uLima, he served as the CFO of an Exchange Traded Commodities’ business unit of the Export Trading Group which is heavily involved and invested on the Sub-Saharan African continent. He has been involved in the setup of numerous businesses across the manufacturing/logistics/wholesale and retail sectors.
Sunesh is also currently working closely with local South African communities in the Eastern Cape to reintroduce and establish viable and sustainable farming practices.
Sunesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
