Wilhelmina Linell lives with her family in the Franschhoek valley, wine capital of South Africa. She graduated from North West University in Industrial Communication (Honors) and Stellenbosch University Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Future Studies. As CEO of The Futures School South Africa and foresight practitioner her mission is to democratise foresight and assist individuals to learn very practical tools and futurist thinking for their personal development; social causes and innovation.
She works creatively alongside individuals and organisations contributing to creating a transformational future. She is a innovation-aficionado and fan of The Kings of Leon, balletdancer Sergei Polunia (still), Marvel’s Wonder Woman and Heike and Sam Allerton’s art. She is a life-street scraper.
The youth and peace activism lies very close to heart as well as Frankie, Victoria and Monocle magazines, skipping ropes, Dragonflies (still), the Sami’s stories, orange trees and blossoms, Pecan-caramel cheesecake (still), philosophy poetry and lines from the Shawshank Redemption, vitamin D, A, C and moss. She hopes these cycles of living, passions and interest will eventually lead to bringing up two boys, a PhD, a life fully lived and positive energy for others.
Favourite futures quote (still) – The best way to predict the future is to create it – (Peter F Drucker)
