Experience in applied and basic research from 1985 to 2004, then joined support in the Office of Research and Development for research quality management in the University of Botswana to date. Having appreciated ICTs in data collection remotely using data-logging and collection with mobile computers and transmitting through internet, initiated development of integrated digital research information management systems for reviews, publishing, and archiving and conference management. Instrumental in the development of University Performance Management System (PMS) and acquisition of digital platform to allow online integrated information management. Led the development of Botswana National Indigenous Knowledge Systems Policy of which the situational analysis revealed high potential sources of innovation for the country. Provided leadership of the University participation in the Development of Research Uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa (DRUSSA), and subsequently the Higher Education Research and Advocacy Network in Africa (HERANA). Currently Deputy Director in Office of Research and Development responsible for promoting the integration of research, development and innovation activities – both scholarly and applied – into academic programmes. Also provide policy and strategic leadership to faculties in the development of research, development and innovation initiatives.
